Can you tell me what the notes are for this sheet of music for the piano of only hope.......?

Q. If you could please go here-http://mrpiano.bestmusicpages.com/popular.html and tell me what the top and bottom notes are for the piano! THANKS SO MUCH!
Just to make it clear which song- "Only Hope"

A. I'm confused .. you've downloaded the music but cannot read the notes?

The song is in the key of Eb (three flats - Bb, Eb and Ab)
1st: -- -- C D Eb D C, G F Eb Eb ... C D Eb D C, G F Eb
2nd Bb Bb Ab G, G F Eb, C D Eb, G C Bnat, C
This the kind of thing you're lookin for?

This site may help you - it shows you where the keys are in relation to the note:

Just print the music and write the note names above the note :)

Original Question

Music theory help please?
Q. hi can anyone recommend a website or books that teach basic music theory? I dont really know much about it but I need to learn it for a college interview. I sing, but I'm learning chords on the guitar and piano, but I've never really learnt to play them, so i'm like a complete beginner. thankyou!!! xxxx
i've been singing for years, so that is my instrument and I can read basic music, and my boyfriend got into music college after learning music theory for his exam out a book, he plays guitar and sings and cannot read music

A. Go to musictheory.net and start learning everything on the site. Odds are, if you're a vocal major, you can barely read music... which will need to be corrected quickly or college theory is going to whoop you sideways. Lots of vocal majors struggle with this.

Learn what all parts of written music are called (staff, measure, quarter note, accidental, etc). Learn notes on treble and bass clef. Learn about how scales are put together (whole steps half steps), what key signatures are, and what they do. Start memorizing how many sharps/flats are in each major/minor key signature. Making flash cards helps with key signatures. Learn about meters (3/4, 4/4, 6/8, duple, triple, compound).

Play a few major, natural minor, harmonic minor, and melodic minor scales on a piano to hear what they sound like so you have a clue of what's going on.

This should give you a good start, good luck, theory is a beast.
