Can you recommend any piano pieces that would be suitable for an A Level music performance?

Q.

A. Sorry I have never taken an A level for music before, but some of the challenging piano pieces I know that you could try are:

Chopin etudes Op. 10 and Op. 25 (Any of the etudes)
They require a fair amount of technique that, if you practise hard, you can show off to the adjudicators, and also require emotion beyond the notes.
My personal favourite etudes include Op. 25 No. 11 (Winter Wind), Op. 10 No. 4, and the Black Key Etude.

La Campanella, by Liszt
Very famous piece; you have probably heard it before. You can check it out on youtube. But requires an extremely high level in technique, including enormous expansions in right hand and huge chords in both hands.

Beethoven sonatas (most famous include: Pathetique, Appassionata, Moonlight, Waldstein etc.)
I am currently playing Pathetique and it isn't as easy as people think. But with practice, it's not too hard to master. The other sonatas are also great masterworks.

There are probably many more pieces that are suitable. And I don't know your level in piano; perhaps you would find those pieces too easy or too hard. The pieces I recommended are really classical...

Either way, I hope I helped! :) You can always google or youtube for more choices. Good luck!
