Smartphone app or pc program that listens to music?
Q. I was just wondering if there was an app or program that can listen to a piano song and tell me the notes that were played. Or hear a guitar and tell you what chords etc. ? I ask because I don't have a musical hear at all and I can't tell just by hear, I need technology!
A. The only apps I know of that have anything to do with guitars and stuff like that is the kind the does the tuning

Q. I was listening to Kim Komando a while back and I heard her mention an application for your iPod or iPhone where you could learn to play the piano. Does anyone know what this app is? Is it free? Thanks!
A. To learn to play the piano you have to practice
on an actual keyboard. The iPhone has two apps
that relate to piano. One is free and shows how
to make piano chords. That can help learning to
play. The other shows a piano keyboard, two
octaves at a time. You can produce notes and
record tunes, but the iPhone is too small for
actually playing piano. That app costs $3.99.
