What is the piano count for the song jar of hearts?

Q. I'm trying to learn how to play the song jar of hearts on the piano.
I found the chords but I really want to write it. So if I were trying to write it, what would the count be?

A. It's in 4/4 time. But you could always just find sheet music online.

Original Question

How do you play minors and flats on aa electric piano?
Q. Me and my friend are trying to play jar of hearts and we don`t know how to play the flats or minors. we also don`t know where they are on the keyboard so can you please help us?

A. Weeeell the black keys on the piano are the sharps and flats. Sharp= # . Flat= b. To play a flat you find the note (white key) you want to play and play the black key to the LEFT. So if you want to play an E flat, find the white E key, and play the black note to the left, voila, Eb.
To play a sharp you find the note you want to play and play the black key to the RIGHT.

I can't explain which notes are which through text so here you go.

To play a minor chord you play a regular chord, and then you play the second note (I believe this is called the third) with a sharp. That all depends on what type of minor and what chord you're playing though. Hope I helped. =)

Original Question

Where can I find String sheet music for Jar of Hearts by Christina Perri?
Q. I am doing a solo for chorus, and I have the piano sheet music but my friend can play a lot of string instruments and I can hear it a little in the background of the song, especially during the bridge.
So does anyone know where I might find it?

A. No one publishes music in parts (as it's originally played) - there isn't a market for that so music publishers usually condense the song into a piano arrangement (which is what you have). If there are strings accompanying the melody, they are most likely playing chord tones, so you can just use your piano sheet music and play the string part from that (I think Jar of Hearts is in C minor, so the first chord of the song is a c minor chord, so if you have one friend she can play a c - or if you have a bunch of string friends, they can each play a chord tone, c, eb, and g to make up that chord - more people should double up on the "bass" note though) - I'm not sure what key your piano sheet music is written in, but just have your friend play the base notes (an octave or two higher depending on what string instrument they play) and your other friends can play the "3rd" and "5th" of the chords (they should be written in the music.
Hope that helps - like I said, unless someone out there specifically wrote out the string part and is willing to give out the music for free, you cannot find strings "parts" for a pop song since publishers will not make as much money off of that rather then just doing solo parts (or a piano reduction).
Hope that helps a little - your choir teacher or band director should be able to easily help you derive string parts from the piano sheet music you have. Good luck!
