Q. I'm looking for a software piano for my macbook, just something that works off the mac keyboard, no peripherals. Garage band doesn't cover much; i want something that has a full range of keys and can be customized for what key on the board plays each note (maybe even using shift key for the sharps/flats).
To clarify: I already have garage band, i'm just interested in finding a different mac program that uses more of the keyboard without switching octaves.
A. You can play the piano in garageband with the keyboard, sharps flats and pitch. The middle row of keys are the white keys, the upper row of keys are the black keys (sharps and flats), so you can play chords all at once. If you have a real keyboard, you can plug that in to the mac and play that instead.
when playing on a piano....?
Q. there's a website that you can play virtual piano on (very good for ppl like me who dont own one and like to mess with them :D) and they have the keys to 'Imagaine' by John Lennon on there but theres something that confuses me...
the notes can be played on the computer keyboard so they are labled as the keyboard letters (i.e on the computer KB Q= F-18). the part im confused about is they have some of the 'notes' in different orders but using the same notes. one 'note' they have on there is 10W (so you hit 1, 0, and W at the same time) and then another one is 1W0. is there really a difference between them?
sorry if the question doesnt really make sense.. heres a link to the website that im refering to http://virtualpiano.net/ if you click the main menu button, it will pull up 4 or 5 options. click on the 'music sheet' button and scroll through til you find it and you'll see what i mean :)
because its a piano song Oo duh....... piano is generally associated with classic music so there ya go.. and plus why just spam the question if you didnt have an answer? and plus just cause it was about a specific song doesnt mean it cant fit into classic music >.<
A. I play Imagine on a real piano but this was my first time on the Virtual Piano so this was a challenge for me to get used to but I believe that I can safely say they are exactly the same. The 10w is a basic C Major chord, which is C E and G.
Since it is used in the repetitive phrase 10w 8 w0 8 w0 8 which was used at the start, it must be the exact same phrase repeated later as 1w0 8 w0 8 w0 8. Whoever transcribed the piece probably just made a transposition.
After spending 20 minutes on this, I have a headache, so I am seriously wondering why anybody would be so desperate to try and play music this way more than once. (Maybe it's easier on a full sized keyboard.) I saw the videos people put on Youtube and I'm impressed at the dedication, if not the sound. Electronic keyboards far better than this one are very inexpensive these days. You can probably get a working one at a yard sale practically free. Target sells playable keyboards for less than $50. Great ones that sound 90% like real pianos can be had new for $500. Real pianos can also be had cheaply (though very cheap ones often have major issues and moving them can be expensive.)
Good luck to you.
Anyone know where I can find piano tabs?? Also a website to learn piano chords??
Q. Any websites??
Any Good and HELPFUL websites?
A. These sites have a lot of popular piano tabs:
