Which instrument would be easier to transition to from a flute?

Q. I want to do jazz band, but flutes are not in them and when the are it is rarely. My band teacher said I could learn saxophone or piano/keyboard. He said saxophone would be easier, my mother says the piano. I always wanted to play the sax, but my mother made me play flute (as my first instrument). I can play the ukulele too along with flute. (I will still be playing flute if i did jazz band, just not in jazzband)

Can anyone tell me what they think or know about transitioning from flute to another instrument?

A. Saxophone would be better (there's no such a thing as easy). If you learn to play the sax you will have not only 1 but the whole family (though you will always lean towards an specific one or 2). My advice is get the saxophone but try to learn at least a bit of piano or guitar (extra) cause trust me if you get into jazz you will definitely know who the harmony is moving(chord changes etc)

Original Question

Which instrument is harder to learn to play? Piano or Guitar?
Q. I realize Guitar and Piano are totally different instruments but, in your opinion, which is harder to learn? I am a 14 yr old girl and I've been trying to decide which instrument to take up on learning. I love how both the piano and guitar sound so it's a bit hard to choose. Any answers are appreciated (: Thanks.

A. Any instrument can be hard, but it's the practice that counts! I play both the piano and guitar and they're just fun to play as soon as you learn to play both of them! Take classes and then it will be easy! Any instrument is easy to learn with PRACTICE. Maybe you should spend the first few years on the guitar, and as soon as you get a full grip of playing basic chords and u understand how to play it, then slowly, you can transition to the piano (at least that's what I did) or change it around! I love playing these two instruments and they both sound so beautiful! Hope I helped!

Original Question

Good tips and advice to effectively change the key in a song?
Q. Does anyone have any good tips / transition chords / any other advice on good ways to change key in the middle of a song. Preferably piano specific. (A powerful key change that sounds nearly seamless, not elementary routes at accomplishing it either please)

And when I say key change I don't mean transpose. (Mainly the kind of google results I got prior to asking this question)

Thanks in advance

A. Here are a few. You can change to:

Minor 3rd (eg C to Eb)
Major 3rd (C to E)
Fourth (C to F)
Half step (C to C#)
Whole Step (C to D)
