Q. I am learning how to read written chords for the piano, like Asus/D and chords like that. But I dont know what A5 means in the chord A5/C#? Thanks!
A. A chord is usually composed of at least three notes. The basic chord is made up of the first, third and fifth notes in a scale and can be inverted to create different sounds. However, an A5 chord uses only two notes, as does any basic fifth chord. The A5 chord is played using the first note of the scale, an A note, and the fifth note in a scale, the E note. You can play these in any order with the left or right hand.

What is an A2 chord, and what is an Asus?
Q. I am going to be the relief pianist for our church worship team. I am learning the songs from sheets that are notated with guitar chords. I can read sheet music, but have been away from piano playing for a long time and some of the chords seem confusing. So I need a description of what, on a keyboard (NOT a guitar!) an A2 chord is and what an Asus is?
A. A2 = A E B C# G
Asus2 = A B E
Asus4 = A D E
I hope they can help you some how
ukulele chords for "Your Name" by Paul Balouche?
Q. Hey, I really like this worship song, and I want to learn how to play it on my ukulele, but I can't find the chords anywhere. If you could find a place where I can get the chords or figure them out that would be great, thanks!
A. I went to bing and searched: guitar chords for "Your Name" by Paul Blaouche
I teach ukulele at Bellarmine University. I also teach guitar, mandolin, dulcimer and banjo.
I have written ukulele method books that are published by Mel Bay and have been on the best selling music book list for years. I have also written 2 booklets for Lanikai Ukes that are given with each ukulele purchase. If you want one just email me at musiclou42@msn.com. Be sure to tell me if you want a soprano or baritone booklet.
Now if you are playing a baritone ukulele which is really the first 4 strings of the guitar you would play the song below just like it is written. But the baritone uke does not have the 5th and 6th bass strings. Play the chords using the same chord positions playing only 4 strings.
Now if you are playing the soprano ukulele, just play the exact CHORD NAMES of the chords written in the song. The chords of any songs are the exact same chords though they are played differently on the instrument. A C chord on the piano is the same notes of a C chord played on the guitar, mandolin, ukulele, banjo etc.
