Q. i am learning how to play concrete angel on the piano and i can not figure out what G/B and AM7 mean.if you can please tell me i would really appreciate it.
Thanks =D
A. G/B is G major chord in 2nd position - that is, with B in the bass: for instance, play B with your left hand and chord G-D-G or D-G-D with right hand.
As for AM7, it's an alternate notation for the major 7th chord - means A major with major 7th (notes are A-C#-E-G#). The most common notation for a major 7th A chord is A followed by a triangle.
Best luck
Please help me with these piano chords!!!!?
Q. I really want to learn to play Boyce Avenue's cover of Katy Perry's 'Teenage Dream' on the piano. I have all the words memorized, but I want to be able to play and sing on the piano.
I looked up the chords online, they are as follows:
Verse: (D for first part of 1st verse) GA
Pre-Chorus: GAGA GA Bm A/C# Chorus: GAGA GA Bm D
Bridge: GA Bm F#m
Breakdown: GA Bm A/C# G Bm A
I have had minimal piano lessons before, so I can't really remember what these chords look like when you're playing them, if that makes any sense. What I'm really trying to say is that I need a visual interpretation of these chords, such as picture, video, or diagram.
The answer with picture/video/diagram that makes sense will be chosen as best answer! Thank you sooo much!
A. A single letter G or A means a major chord, Bm is a B minor chord. A/C# is an A major chord with C# in the base (slash chord).

Dominant Chords - Piano?
Q. Could someone help me here? What is a Dominant + Major chord in the key of C? And also, what is a Dominant + Minor chord in the same key of C? The instrument, by the way, is a Piano.
Thanks!
A. OOOH! ANOTHER PERSON WHO PLAYS THE PIANO!! lol
Anyways, when you have a Dominant chord, its just a chord that is built on the 5th note of the scale. Therefore the dominant chord in the key of C major is
G(5th note) B and D
and if you need a Dominant 7th chord, it would be
G B D and F
The minor Dominant chord would to just build a chord on the 5th note of the minor scale. Therefore G Bb D
Dominant 7th
G Bb D F
hope i helped!
