Q. it qould be better if you just told me all of them if thats possible:
Dm
G7
A7
E7
D7
B7
+ect.
i only know that ; Am = e, a,c & E = e, g(sharp), b & c= e,g,c , g = d, g, b.
thanks, i could not find it on google cause it just showed up as majors and all...;/

A. I'm still learning, but, this is what I know:
Do you mean d minor? And, is it just the basic chord? If so:
dm is: d, f, a. Inverted once: a, d, f, Inverted twice: f, a, d
D major: D, F#, A. Inverted once: A, D, F# Inverted twice: F#, A, D
G7 (major right?): G, B, D, F#
A7: A, C#, E, G#
E7: E, G# B, D#
D7: D, F#, A, C#
B7: B, D#, F#, A#
Your best bet is to learn the scales. A seventh chord is usually a basic chord with the seventh letter of the scale added to the end.
You can pick up some "cheat sheets" at music stores, and I would also think you can get theory books, which would help, if you're not taking lessons.
Trumpet Chord Cheat Sheet?
Q. I am beginning to learn theory in jazz by taking piano lessons, but right now I really need a cheat sheet or a guide to different chords for the trumpet. I have quite a few to improvise under here so instead of typing them all in it would be great if someone knew of a website I could find the scales that match these chords. i have looked around google but trying to weed out all the guitar tab and chord websites it incredibly hard. Can anyone help me out?
PS
In case someone is generous enough to actually give me the scales for the chords ill write them here anyway.
-Emi7
-A7
-Bmi7
-C#mi7 (flat 5th)
-C7
-Emi
-C9
I am pretty sure this isn't a blues chart so I cant really use B flat blues for the whole solo but is there a scale i could use over this whole thing?
Any help appreciated.
A. I really don't see why you need a cheat sheet. Those chord symbols tell you everything you need to know. They represent the notes used in the given chord. Em7, for example, uses the notes E G B and D.
Chords are built with a root, a 3rd, and a 5th. If there are notes beyond that, you'll see things like 7 or 9.
Sheet Music with LETTERS instead of Musical Notes?!?
Q. Help is greatly appreciated! I want to be able to play the piano, but my piano is labeled A-G.
Ex:
Happy birthday is
CCDCFE
CCDCGF
Etc, etc.
A. You're really not going to find ANY sheet music like that... If you know chords (which it looks like you don't), then you could cheat your way with guitar tabs... Otherwise, it's time to learn your FACE and every good boy deserves fudge technique
