Attention all piano players: can you please help me with piano sheet music?

Q. I have this sheet music for the song you and whose army, I've looked at stuff online on how to translate it, but I still don't get it. I can't read sheet music, can you please help me? I also can find the tab for the song, and again I don't understand how to read it, please help. I really want to learn to play that song.

A. i dont understand what is the problem. cant you read the notes? well the sheet probably has a melody line . the tabs also help the piano. u play the melody with right hand and play the chord written on the tab with the left hand

Original Question

How long does it take to become good at guitar?
Q. How many months does it take to become a good guitar player?

A. That is a good question. First of all, if you have any significant experience with another basic instrument, such as piano or violin, it will speed up a lot of the learning process significantly. However, even if youre starting with a booster such as previous instrumental experience, guitar has a very steep learning curve. your left fingertips, wrist, and even forearm (assuming youre playing right-handed) will be sore for probably the first month or so. learning to transition from chord to chord can be incredibly frustrating and seem impossible at first. even learning how to strum properly and smoothly is a feat in itself.
HOWEVER, once you have made it over the first few initial hills, and learned the basics, it is fairly easy to be a competent guitarist. once you have got down basic open and bar chords, and your strumming is decent, you can play almost any song you will hear on the radio. Guitar is very hard at first, but once youve got the basics, its very easy for people to see you and say "yeah, he's not bad."
In order to get to that point however, you will need to be playing at least every other day, preferably every day. Invest time in online tutorials (youtube is a beautiful thing!) or even private lessons if youre willing to dish out the cash. Also, they have books available that have chords for many many songs by famous artists, and several of my friends have benefited from these (they have a book full of chords for beatles' songs, as well as AC/DC, johny cash, bob dylan, etc.) Its kinda like learning to drive stick shift, you will want to scream and give up and smash your guitar many times before you start getting good.
btw, i am writing all of this assuming you are starting on rhythm acoustic guitar. If you are speaking of lead electric guitar, it should take longer, since you should probably learn rhythm acoustic first.

ALL THAT SAID, if you are consistent and persistent in your practicing, it would probably take anywhere from 6 to 9 months-ish to start sounding decent. by a year or two, youll start sounding pretty good, and by two or three years, youll probably be a very good guitarist. After that, its basically all about developing personal style and honing in your skills.

Original Question

How do I learn to play guitar?
Q. Is it possible to learn to play yourself. I can only play chords but when i try to play a song Im terrible. Is it a good skill to have in show business?

A. Yes, you very well can learn by yourself. Look online at some Youtube video teachers, such as yourguitarsage. They can teach you proper theory and dexterity to be a guitar player. Learning guitar is a useful skill in my opinion because it's kind of like the piano. There are so many genres you can play with it and so many styles to show.

The only thing hard about learning on your own is that devotion has to come from you so always be thinking about practicing!
