Q. I'm trying to write a love song for my girlfriend and I was wondering good chord patterns IV,V,VI,etc for a love song. I was also wondering what is a good key signature to attempt this...by the way they're are no lyrics it is going to be instrumental. I play sax and piano.
A. The best key in my opinion is the key of B Major. An alternative is G Major.

Play C major on the piano or the guitar, you're still playing the same chord. The exact order of the notes may be different, but those different voicings make each instrument unique. It's still just a bunch of C's E's and G's.
