Q. Okay I wrote a song on piano, and I wish I could upload it but i have no recording gear. Its just the melody, chords, and lyrics right now. I want some intro and outro music. Any advice on these?
I used F2, F, Em, and G chords.
A. if F2 is the first chord, that is your goal chord for the intro.
that means the chord before it could be something like V/F2

before that you could have chords in the key of that dominant, or use the secondary dominant of that.
to make the intro really lead, make sure to follow the voice leading rules!

the outro, just use your ear to figure out what sounds good next, and follow the rules, or it won't be as strong.
How do you play guitar chords with a Eb/ in front of them?
Q. And this question goes for a lot of different chords. For example, in this music I have for Jazz band, I have a Eb/G that I have to play. My more musically inclined friend explained it more to me, but he didn't know how to play the chord on guitar... only piano. So can anyone brush up my music theory on how exactly to play it? Or can they lead me to a sight where I can find the chord charts for them? Or, is it possible for me to just play the G part of it and not the Eb and it will still sound alright? Here are the chords I need to play: Eb/G, Fm/Bb, Fm7/Bb, Eb2/G, F/A, Bb/D, Eb/C, Eb/Bb, Eb/D, G/B, Gm7/C, F2/A, C/E, F/D, F/C In no order. The song is a jazz rendition of "Man in the Mirror", by Michael Jackson.
A. The 2nd note after the chord represents the Bass note. You can either use it or let the bas player play that note against your chord.
Ex..... if you play the Fm/Bb. You will play the Bb on the 5th or 6th string and finger the F minor chord while holding the Bb on the bass.
Here is a chord link . All you need to do is input the chords as you have them and you can see the fingers on the fingerboard change as you alter the chords.

In piano, what does it mean if there is a 2 next to the cord?
Q. I have a song here that has F and F2. Does it mean F =root cord and then F2 = second inversion?
A. More likely it means to replace the 3 with the two, like the 4 replaces the 3 in a sus4 chord.
I would play F, G, and C and see how it sounds in the song.
F second inversion is usually written "F/C".
