Q. i need some chords that would go well with a love song G, cadd9 and D were my first sugestion but D doesnt work well with the others...any sugestions on a 3rd chord?
A. Yeah D works fine.
You could try:
(In 4/4 time)
G. Cadd9. D. G
(F#)Em. C. Dsus (perhaps a 3rd inversion). D
I'm playing that on piano though..what are you playing?
Oh and um what i mean by the F# in brackets is maybe on the second beat between changing from the G to Em you could play the F# (but like i said i'm playing piano, easier for me maybe lol)
EDIT* I just reread your question nd it clearly states that you're playing guitar..sigh..im such a tard.
Is there anyone who knows the chords to "why" By the rascal flatts?
Q. I need to learn it for a competition so if you know the chords on piano or could find out the chords and let me know that would be GREAT! thanks!

Guitar chords question??? easy!! please help!?
Q. For example, the position of G with a half step down tuning (Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb) is equal to an F# in standard tuning, what would Dsus and Cadd9 (played in half step down tuning) be in standard tuning???
Thanksss!!!! :D
A. I don't know why no one has answered this yet, since it's pretty simple.
You just need to remember your piano notes:
C - C# (Db) - D - D# (Eb) - E - F - F# (Gb) - G - G# (Ab) - A - A# (Bb) - B - C
Let's first take the example you gave: playing G. G in standard tuning is G. If you detune all strings down a half step, the G chord gets dropped down a half step to F# (in the above list, going to the left one letter).
The easiest way to think about it is just your chord shapes. If you're playing a G chord shape in standard tuning, it's a G. If you're playing the G chord shape in tuning that's one half step lower, then mentally drop the G down one half step to F# = this means that a pianist would HEAR an F#.
Let's look at your Dsus and Cadd9. In standard tuning, a pianist would hear Dsus and Cadd9. In tuning that's one half step lower, mentally drop those chord names down one half step:
Dsus --> down one half step --> Dbsus, which is what a pianist would hear.
Cadd9 --> down one half step --> Badd9, which is what a pianist would hear.
