Q. I'm a starting keyboardist and I want to learn to chord better. I get chords from guitar sites since there are no piano chords of songs that I know of except http://classpiano.com/
Here's what I know
- Simple chords (Majors and minors)
- chord inversions
Here's what I don't know
- Reading guitar tabs and turning them into piano-playable chords
- Converting guitar chords with capo into piano-playable chords
ex (http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/s/steve_rushton/everything_i_want_crd.htm)
I can always look at http://www.8notes.com/piano_chord_chart/ but then I won't learn.
Thank you so much. :D
also, i don't know how to get diminished and augmented. tnx :D if there's an online tutorial to all my questions, please give the link. tnx ;D

A. Ok, other ideas for to get the music and chords written. Most of the music stores in your area have a bulletin board that helps musicians connect. You can probably post a message there for free. If you city has an Entertainment Magazine, you can take out a small add there. You can try posting a request on Craig's List online. And one other option is to contact the International Songwriter's Association online and see if they will post a note for you in there email newsletter that goes out to all members. You can also try networking at MySpace which was created for people in the music business. Many songwriter's and musicians have space there and may be able to help you.
I still think that Guitar Pro 6 is your best option and if you have a keyboard, you won't need the guitar to midi converter because keyboards are midi instruments. Good Luck with that!
