Piano chords to go with alto sax piece?

Q. I'm playing colours of the wind on alto sax in the C Major key... I need three piano chords that i can play to accompany this, but I need help.

A. Here are the chords for "Colors Of The Wind" by Vaness Williams:
http://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/v/vanessa_williams/colors_of_the_wind_crd.htm

As key for piano or guitar here is shown the key C major:
C, Am, C, Em, Am, F, Dm, G, Am.

If you play that correct chords for piano, the alto sax has to play the melody chords:
A, F#m, A, C#m, F#m, D, Bm, E, F#m.

If you play the melody on alto sax in the key of C major, the piano has to play the chords:
Eb, Cm, Eb, Gm, Cm, Ab, Fm, Bb, Cm.

Cheers ebs

Original Question

Could anyone give me the chords to permanent by David Cook?
Q. I have been searching the internet like crazy and I can't find the piano chords to Permanent by David Cook. Can anyone give them to me? Also, it would be ideal it you could tell me the notes in the chords are opposed to just the chords. (example: C Eb G not C mi) Thank you.

A. That was easy, you must not be looking hard enough.

Original Question

What piano chord do they play at the start of "One is the Loneliest Number" by Three Dog Night?
Q. The song starts out with the same note being played on the piano, what is it? I've been trying to figure it out.

A. The chords for the first 4 bars are (assuming one chord per quarter note in 4/4):

C
Ab
F

played 8 times in the intro, followed by

C
Ab
F

(same chord) 4 times and

Eb
C
Ab

4 times etc.

In other words, the intro has the F minor chord (F-Ab-C) played 8 times, then the vocals begin on this same F minor chord played 4 times followed by the Ab major chord (Ab-C-Eb) played 4 times.

I think it is was a wise move to come here for such technical a question ;)

Hope that helps!

Regards
