Q. I'm a songwriter and I'm trying to write a tune for a piece I've been developing. Do you know any chords and chord progressions that fit well for a hip hop/R&B song? I haven't set a specific key. Just something very smooth and oldschool-sounding. Like a Mariah Carey or Beyonce song. By chords I don't necessarily mean guitar or piano chords, but chords that are sung for a three-part or four-part song. Thanks :)
A. Chords are chords... there's nothing different about the chords you would play on a piano and those you would arrange for a vocal group to sing.
If you're looking for ideas, see if you can figure out the arrangements for some songs that have the style you're going for. If you can get your hands on a transcription, or even a lead sheet, that's even better.
What are the notes/ fingerings for these arpeggios on piano?
Q. What are the notes for C major C minor G major F major A minor D minor? Please help by telling me the notes or directing me to a website about piano chords, arpeggios or broken chords.
A. Arpeggios , as I'm sure you know are the notes of a chord played consecutively rather than together. So for C major you would play (going up the scale)
C E G C,
then back down the scale.
C minor
C Dsharp F
G major
G B D
F major
F A C
A minor
A C E
D minor
D F A
The fingerings for arpeggios are (right hand) thumb, 3rd finger, little finger 3rd finger, thumb.
or thumb, 3rd finger, thumb little finger, thumb, 3rd finger thumb.
Here are some useful sites (be sure to look at other pages than the ones directly linked.)

Happy playing.
What do you call a piano chord that has a little o above it and a chord that has a t next to it?
Q. I'm learning a jazz piece and i've figured out all the chords except for b^0 and ct7 and gt7. What do these letters and numbers mean? Im thinking t is another way of saying dim and maybe 0 is augmented???
Please answer, I can't really find results anywhere else.
Thanks, Megan
A. The little o means diminished.
Could the t be a plus sign? If so, it means augmented.
