[1st verse:]
G
I'm stuck with writing songs

just to forget, what they really were about

that I don't think I can dig my way out.
C D G
I couldn't breathe you in
Em
like I need to
C D
and the words don't mean a thing.
[Chorus:]
G D
so I'll sing this song to you,
Em C
for the last time.
G D
and my heart is torn in two,
Em D C
thinkin' of days spent without you.
Em D C
and there is nothing left to prove
[2nd Verse:]
G F#m
I'm counting all the things i coulda done,
Em C
to make you see that I wanted us to be
G
what I go to sleep and dream of
F#m Em D C
I want you to know that I'd die for you.
I'd die for you.
C D G Em
I couldn't breathe you in like I need to
C D
and the words don't mean a thing
[Chorus:]
G D Em C
so I'll sing this song to you for the last time.

Em D C
thinkin' of days spent without you.
Em D C
and there's nothing else to prove
[bridge:]
Em D
and if you are alone make sure you're not lonely.
G D Em
cuz if you are I blame myself.
Em
for never being home.
D
I know I'm not the only one
G D Em
who will treat you like they should.
like you deserve.
G F#m Em
I'm stuck with writing songs just to forget.
[Chorus:]
G D
so I'll sing this song to you
Em C
for the last time.
G D
and my heart is torn in two.
Em D C
thinkin' of days spent without you.
Em D C
and there's nothing left to prove.
Em D
there's nothing left to prove
A. G chord - GBD
Em - egb
D chord - D F# A
C chord - CE G
f# mi - f# a c#
Gee - five whole chords. This is like when you got to a restaurant, and they give the little kids five whole CRAYONS to draw on the placement. No wonder this style of music is BORING. The author is right - there's nothing left to prove - and they have nothing left to SAY.
chopsticks on the piano?
Q. I really want to impress my mom by learning the song "chopsticks" on the piano. I can't read music, but i know the abcdefg chords and where they are. Can you just tell me what those notes are for it. My mom already taught me the beginning where it goes: fgx6.... yeah. i don't need instructions or anything just tell me, for example: bagabbb...
thanks:)
I will be taking lessons soon and how to read music. So don't tell me I have to do that first because I already taught myself, Mary had a little lamb and twinkle twinkle little star

What brand (or kind) of acoustic guitar should I get?
Q. After like a decade plus of piano, I decided that I wanted to pursue learning the guitar. Question is, I'm not sure what is good and required in a solid guitar that will last me for a good long time. Not a beginner, stupid girly pink one. But a nice, affordable guitar for all levels from a decent (reputable would be nice) brand. Any requirements I should be looking for in an acoustic guitar would be nice too. Guitar Center is the only place I know. Please help me~ Much love.
A. i'll bite...
I want you to take this approach when purchasing your first decent guitar.
You can obviously tell whether a guitar is tuned, but do you know if the strings are dead? And any amount of tuning will not help you make a sound judgement of said guitar? Everytime I walk into a store and pick up a $1200.00 Taylor CE it isn't in tune and with a little tweaking I can get her to sound sweet.
Can you tweak a guitar to sound sweet? Good...don't be afraid to ask them to put a new set of strings on it and you'll be back tomorrow.I've told people to have multiple guitars in the same store, restrung for me to evaluate the next day.
What is good and required in a "solid" guitar and will last for a good long time?
Good and required includes:
stable straight neck and fingerboard, trusses help this. Make sure it has a truss to adjust the neck.
soundboard...this is the top with the hole.....it should be free of defects...the bridge should look cleanly installed...no glue...no gaps...
the nut should not be deformed or chipped...which is often the case...
does it come with a case?
do the frets look worn down or scratched?
does the banding look good...3 strip banding is good sign...but can also be fake junk.
I look at the heel for damage...gaps...glue....look for scarfing in the sound chamber....tapping on the sound board, can you hear rattles?
..ahhh just picked up my ole girl here and started strumming....thinking...
intonation is crucial.....some bridges are not set properly and the guitar will sound off...forever....make sure you know how to check the intonation of a guitar....if you're serious about this...it isn't that hard...and will give us another 2 points if you need help. Also it may sound off to you because of the tuning temperment....be mindful of that.
woods are important...I choose my wood more than manufacturer...
I needed a softer tone and got a spruce top cherry sided parlor guitar...
harder the wood brighter the tone....softer the wood...mellower the tone..
size is personal choice

more than likely you'll want a "cut away" which will enable you to reach the higher notes more easily.
check the tuners....the name "grover" is good sign...so many little things make up a great guitar...like...the pegs in the bridge that hold in the strings....you can change those from bone to brass and get more spank from your acoustic...same with the nut..vice versa..it is the sum of it's parts.
you really should play alot of different combinations of woods to find your favorite tone and then shop for a guitar.
Considering the muscial background and perceived affluence I would recommend
Taylor
Fender
Ovation (grudgingly)
Ibanez (no they're ok acoustics for intermediate and durable suckers)
Breedlove<--dandy guitar!
All these guitars run the gambit of prices and quality, but with these you'll be getting an "heirloom" so to speak, they're generally easier to fret chords for ladies, and more or less reputabile as you stated.
you made no mention of the ability to plug it in which you will most likely have to do if you ever plan on playing both the piano and the guitar in the same room...together....
here are a few choices

i like ribbon transducers for delicate statements, alot of arppagio work, and saddle pickups or sound hole pick ups for rhythym oriented material. Most good guitars come with one but I thought I should bring that up.
If you have money and was thinking about a guitar in the $3,000.00 range and up then there is a whole new world of guitars to mention, "boutiques" so state that in your post next time. Without a price range....we just throw you what we like to play for the most part.
