Can you use multiple ipad recording apps and combine them to make one recording?

Q. I want to buy an ipad to record music. For example, can I record a chord progression on a piano, then record a guitar rift and put it all together?

A. Yes. Use Garageband. This is exactly the sort of thing the app was made to do :)

Original Question

what software where i can play piano along with music using my keyboards on my laptop, which is free software.?
Q. I want to play piano using my computer, with music or guide letters as a chords.. free software.

A. Depends what type of computer you've got. If you have a Mac of any kind (MacBook Pro, iMac, etc), then you should already have GarageBand pre-installed on it, in which case, just open it up, press "Command", "Shift" and "K", and voila! An on-screen keyboard will appear which tells you which keys make what note.
If you're using a Windows computer, try Virtual Piano (link in sources), although I haven't personally tried it, so sorry if it's not so great...
Also, if you have an iDevice (iPad, iPod, iPhone) or an Android (Galaxy, Nexus, Droid Razr, Xperia, etc...) I do believe you could attempt to look it up in the relative app store.
But if all else fails, just Google it.

Original Question

How long should it take me to get "good" at piano?
Q. Well, I've been playing piano since I was 8. But then my teacher moved away and I didn't play since. But recently I've been listening to a movie soundtrack, and it has phenomenal songs! I bought a piano app, and I've been mimicking the songs on it. It really doesn't sound half bad. It usually takes me awhile with sharps or flats, but not now. If I play for awhile everyday, how long should it take me? I'm getting a keyboard soon so I won't have to use the app anymore.

A. That depends on quite a few things:

How you define "good." Some are happy when they can play a simple arrangement with melody in the right hand and chords in the left. Some want to be able to play particular pieces. Some want to be able to sit down and play anything.

How hard you work. Playing around for ten minutes at a time most days won't get you very far. 2-3 hours of daily practice will get you much further.

The quality of your instruction. If you're trying to puzzle things out from tutorials it will take much longer than if you have a good teacher.

Your level of innate talent.
