How to play the Ebm/C# chord on piano?
Q. I am trying to learn how to play "Yesterday" on the piano using tabs. I am trying to figure out the chord Ebm/C# since the website (http://www.911tabs.com/link/?4606424) doesn't give me an example. Please help!
A. You may perhaps he confused by the /C#? This way of naming a chord only means that the C# is the lowest note. This would be an E minor chord with a C# in the bass. The C# is the septim (7th), so in effect this is an Ebm7, with the 7 as the bass/lowest note.
Of course, on a piano things are different than on a guitar. On a piano you always have the left hand "available" to play the basses :-)
In case you wonder, your notes in this chord would be A#, F#, D#, C#
